Nokia has now become very reputed for its Nokia Navigator, which came into the market two years ago and continues to improve with each passing day. Now, the latest entry of the Nokia Navigator line at the 2009 MWC is the Nokia 6710 Navigator. The Nokia 6720 classic further adds feathers to Nokia’s already over-filled cap.
The integration of Nokia Maps with Ovi permits users to pre-plan their journey online from their PCs and then sync it on their mobiles. Additionally, this service gives wonderful high-resolution 3D images, landmarks, terrain maps, weather and traffic conditions, safety warnings and much more. The new devices now also include a compass, which works with Maps, improving the entire service as a whole.
Both the Nokia 6710 Navigator and Nokia 6720 Classic come with an improved design as well, with a slightly curved shape and soft touch surface. Pictures are clearer, thanks to Carl Zeiss optics, so geo-tagging the exact location becomes more effective. The Nokia 6720 classic also uses active noise cancellation for the first time, which gives improved sound reception. The Nokia 6710 Navigator will ship from Q3 2009 for about 300 EUR and the Nokia 6720 classic will be available from Q2 2009 and will retail at about 245 EUR.
