The iPhone & iPod Touch Updated Firmware Has Been Released

Recently Apple decided to release the “whereabouts” of their update for the iPhone OS, 3G firmware 2.2.1. It has also released version 2.2.1 for the iPod Touch as well. This update contains mostly browser improvements such as increased stability of Safari and the image issues with email not being correctly displayed in the Camera Roll has been addressed.

It has been strongly recommended to NOT upgrade to this firmware at this moment, due to the iPhone development team investigating the firmware and snooping around for errors. As of this instance it isn’t possible to jailbreak the iPod Touch or iPhone firmware 2.2.1, however, from past experiences this can quickly change.

Another Samsung phones leaked: the Samsung B2100 and Samsung E2100

Samsung is just “cooking” another new handsets for the mobile market. Both candybar phones will be introduced at MWC in Barcelona, but we can already say couple words about these upcoming phones.

The B2100, a successor of the M110 or B2700 model, is a rugged phone which should feature 1,77″ TFT color display with 128 x 160 resolution, a 1.3MP camera, 10MB on-board memory, an FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and microSD slot support.

The tri-band phone will work with GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) networks as well as with EDGE data transfer. Users will be able to choose from 3 color variants: Scarlet Red, Dark Geen and Modern Black.

Our second, also not unveiled phone yet, the E2100 is a low-end device which also provides basic features. The E2100 sports 1,77″ 262k color TFT screen with 128 x 160 pixels, a VGA camera, 5MB of user memory, Bluetooth, an FM radio and WAP 2.0 capability.

Unfortunately, this dual-band handset misses an expandable slot however there is not too much to do with its VGA camera.
