Infineon Technologies AG, Germany, yesterday introduced its sample 2nd Generation Long-Term Evolution (LTE) RF trasceiver. The SMARTi LU comprises a single chip 65nm CMOS RF transceiver, which provides 2G/3G/LTE functionality with a DigRF digital baseband interface for high data rate up to 150MB in LTE networks.
Infineon also announced its 3rd Generation of its RF transceiver family, SMARTi UEmicro. The SMARTi UEmicro, which is optimized for lowest cost 3G designs, also enables RF-based system e-BOM for Dual Band WCDMA/EDGE for as low as $6.50, which is almost 40% lower than the other available solutions in the market.
