T-Mobile USA Introduces The Thinnest And Lightest BlackBerry Smartphone, the Curve 8900

T-Mobile USA, Inc. and RIM (Research In Motion) have today jointly announced that T-Mobile will introduce the new BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone, which will be the thinnest and lightest full-QWERTY BlackBerry mobile phone. This elegant phone will have a marvelous titanium-style finish, complete with chrome highlights. It will also have advanced features such as GPS tracking and location services. This phone will have brilliant Wi-Fi connectivity, supporting audio and data formats.

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 includes a huge display, 512MHz next-generation processor and powerful multimedia capabilities. Additionally, it also offers a 3.2MP camera, which you can also use to record and play video; music player and hot-swappable micro SD/SDHC card slot for expandable memory up to 16GB.

Apart from the above, the quad-band BlackBerry Curve 8900 gives users T-Mobile’s Unlimited HotSpot Calling service, with international roaming and unlimited nationwide calling to five people on the myFaves list. This phone is expected to hit the T-Mobile stores from February this year.

Altec Lansing Introduces The BackBeat 906 and 903 Stereo Bluetooth Headsets

Altec Lansing, a branch of Plantronics, yesterday introduced its very first stereo Bluetooth headphones, the BackBeat 906 and 903. The BackBeat 906 offers a stereo Bluetooth 2.0 adapter and the BackBeat 903 only offers the headset and not the adapter. Especially designed for those on the move always, these wearable BackBeat products offer the user the ability to access wireless stereo music and take calls without having to stop other work to do so.

These products feature OpenMic technology, which allows the user to hear outside sounds without having to take the headphones away. The Dual-Mic AudioIQ technology separates voice from noise and automatically adjusts sound, thereby giving the user great clarity during calls. The BackBeat 906 can transmit wireless stereo audio from iPods, iPhones and other MP3 devices. The 903 can work only with Bluetooth-enabled MP3 players and mobile phones.

Both the products will be available from February 2009. While the BackBeat 906 will be priced at $129.95, the BackBeat 903 will be available for $99.95.

SanDisk has announced the shipping of its 16GB memory cards, the SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) mobile memory cards. This is the world’s largest removable storage capacity designed especially for mobile phones. With the increased performance and capacity SanDisk Ultra memory cards allows users to take advantage of intense mobile features including all sorts of applications that take up a lot of memory.

These Ultra memory cards are premium and second to none in its class providing consumers with quick and fast side-loading speeds.
