More than 100 million Nokia users can now directly set up their very own Ovi email account on their mobile phones, without needing a PC to get going. The Ovi email account allows users access the entire gamut of functionalities of any complete PC-based email account.

Nokia’s Mail On Ovi, which is currently in the Beta version, comes in 12 languages and enables users to customize their preferences on the settings of their device. The languages now available include English, Hindi, Bengali, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia.

Nokia users in India, Philippines and Malaysia have been able to try out the Beta version from November, with satisfactory results. Nokia now plans to expand the reach of this facility globally.
