Nokia announces IBM Lotus email access to 80 million mobile phones

Nokia and IBM have bought another major service for business users who want to stay connected regardless of time, distance or location. Nokia and IBM have announced IBM Lotus Notes support for Nokia S60 devices. So now 80 million Nokia users [Nokia S60 3rd Edition devices shipped globally] will be able to access their corporate email accounts with Lotus Notes Traveler.

This is an extremely important move for Nokia and IBM users as there would be one billion mobile Web users by 2011 which underline a significant shift in the way the majority of users will interact with the Web over the next decade.

Lotus Notes Traveler software gives real time access to email, calendar, address book, journal and to-do list data. The server is expected to be available for Nokia devices in December 2008. Below is the list of all Nokia supported devices for IBM Lotus Notes Server.

Motorola i776w iDEN clamshell for ladies

Motorola has revealed its new addition to iDEN “family”, the Motorola i776w, a flip phone supporting one-to-one push-to-talk technology. In a slim but stylish design, the i776w got two displays, both with 64k colors. Its VGA camera allows you to take photograph. With services like AOL, Yahoo!, MSN and Instant Messaging you may stay connected with friends anywhere.

The handset also includes a built-in GPS function, Bluetooth connectivity, Walkie-Talkie features, Multimedia Messaging Service and Speakerphone. With a standard capacity Li-Ion battery it provides 205 minutes of talk time.

According to a press release, the Motorola i776w is available through Boost Mobile which is owned by Sprint, for a retail price of 100 USD (excluding taxes) in a purple color combined with a high-quality aluminum. Only for ladies? I like it, too.
