One more feather in Alltel’s cap – the HTC Touch Pro smartphone

Alltel now enters the big league of carriers, with its new introduction of the HTC Touch Pro Smartphone. The smartphone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and comes with this gorgeous-looking QWERTY keyboard. The entire interface of the smartphone is extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate. The HTC Touch Pro faithfully employs the product’s feather touch TouchFLO 3D to make the product more sensitive to even the lightest touch of a fingertip.

Alltel, with its new line of HTC Touch Pro smartphones, also provides EV-DO Rev, a utility, which revs up its mobile network and data services multifold. The icing on the cake, of course, is the 3.2 MP autofocus camera that can also video record with great clarity. Would you like your smartphone to have more memory? Well, this baby comes with an inbuilt micro SD card slot that you can use.

You can find the HTC Touch Pro smartphone at all Alltel outlets from today. This comes with a two-year contract. For all the conveniences this product offers, it costs only $280, after discounts.

T-Mobile goes the Web2Go way

T-Mobile USA is launching its Web portal with Web2Go today, giving customers a convenient and comprehensive mobile Internet browsing experience. Web2Go, powered by Yahoo! OneSearch, lets customers create their own custom home page, easily shop online and download and manage content, all from one platform.

The user-friendly Web2Go interface gives users access to the entire Web, providing more specific Internet search results and enabling them to download the hottest ringtones, wallpaper and so on. Customers can also organize their downloads in a separate file, so that they can access them even if they switch to newer mobile phones. With Web2Go, you will be one of the first to know about the latest local, national and international news and events in town.

The combined power of Web2Go and Yahoo! OneSearch is available for almost all the latest compatible T-Mobile phones (including brands like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and BlackBerry) starting today. In the coming few months, there are plans to make this service available for all other T-Mobiles as well.

In addition, the Presto has even a DMB support, Sky Studios, Bluetooth, 4GB of external memory support, mobile banking, video calling ability, and an electronic dictionary.

Supporting 3G HSUPA networks, the IM-U310 for SKT and IM-U310K for KTF customers costs around 700,000 won (~557 USD). I think, I will move to Korea soon because of this “cutie”. Of course, I am talking about the device.
