Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity for AT&T with Mobile TV

Passed days AT&T brought various mobile phones to its line-up. And today it’s not else. The new touch-screen phone with a virtual QWERTY keyboard and TouchWiz user interface is AT&T Mobile TV capable device bringing continuous streaming television content and sporting events for a free 30-day trial.

The Eternity comes equipped with a large 3.2″ display with a haptic support, 3 dedicated keys on the lower portion for easy navigation and a built-in accelerometer for autorotation of the display, playing games and photo scrolling by tilting the device.

Other features of this handset are 3 megapixel camera with video capture, GPS, Mobile Email and Internet, Instant messaging, Bluetooth and microSD slot supporting up to 8GB cards. The Samsung Eternity supports 3G connectivity as well as quad-band GSM data.

The phone is already available at AT&T stores for less than 150 USD with a 2-year service agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Samsung Saga and Renown coming to Verizon

Samsung today announced new additions to Verizon Wireless mobile range, the SCH-i770 Saga smartphone and SCH-u810 Renown a clamshell handset. Both phones have a robust multimedia and messaging capabilities which users may use in more than 200 destinations worldwide for voice and 150 global destinations for data.

Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and featuring 2.55 inch 65K TFT touch-sensitive LCD screen, the Saga smartphone is the right choice for business professionals with its full QWERTY keyboard, an optical mouse, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It supports quad-band GSM/GPRS data and allows to work with applications like Microsoft Office Mobile Suite, Microsoft Active Sync 4.5 and Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista OS. The handset also sports a 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and microSD slot for up to 16 GB. It measures 2.44 x 4.88 x .53 inches and weighs about 4.59 ounces.

Those who want a simple looking but good equipped clamshell, Samsung also brought its Renown phone. Beside its two 262k LCD displays, the Renown has also a 2 megapixel camera with NightShot like previous model, a built-in MP3 player, video, picture, text and IM messaging capabilities.

The Renown supports quad-band GSM mode. A built-in stereo Bluetooth may help you with wireless connection as well as microSD slot for up to 8 GB cards with storage. The phone is also able to connect to a USB cable.

Verizon will launch the Saga phone on December 1 for 200 USD with a new 2-year customer agreement after a $70 mail-in rebate while the Renown will be already available on November 19 for 180 USD with a new contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.

HTC announces HTC MAX 4G world’s first GSM / WiMAX smartphone

HTC has announced its first WiMAX enabled phone which marks HTC strength and innovation beyond words. HTC MAX 4G is world’s first integrated GSM WiMAX phone, this makes it the world’s first Windows Mobile 6.1 powered WiMAX phone.

HTC MAX 4G is powered by Qualcomm ESM7206A 528 MHz processor. With just superb WiMAX capability it also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. HTC MAX 4G has a 3.8″ TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive screen which supports 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. In terms of speed the MAX 4G can give a data speed of 70Mb/sec (symmetric).

In addition to 5 megapixel high-resolution camera with auto focus feature, HTC MAX contains a motion G-sensor and a proximity sensor for saving energy (while talking display is automatically switched off). HTC MAX 4G can make voice calls over most GSM networks but when the subscriber comes within range of WiMAX network, the HTC MAX amazingly routes the call through the WiMAX data network as a VoIP call. Battery can stay you connected up to 420 minutes while for VoIP it contains up to 230 minutes.

HTC MAX 4G would be a highly desirable with these killer specifications but sadly the phone will be available only in Russia market and we have to wait for the price until it starts shipping.

Samsung Anycall L878 – a smart S60 slider

Another smartphone powered by S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 by Samsung has been revealed with Anycall logo which says this handset is for Asian market. In a brushed titanium silver design, the new L878 with S60 offers a desktop-like experience as well as a great mobile browser capability.

The L878 is a tri-band UMTS+GSM(900/1800/1900MHz) slider adopting 2.4″ TFT LCD 262K color screen (240 x 320 pixel), a 3 megapixel camera with auto-focus and video capturing, FM radio and a multimedia player, 55 MB onboard memory, and microSDHC slot up to 16GB.

Beside HSDPA(3.6Mbps)/3G/EDGE data transfer, the L878 also has Bluetooth 2.0+EDR with A2DP/AVRCP and USB 2.0 port. As I mentioned above, the L878 should be available for Asian market though there are no words about its availability and pricing yet.
