Zain Bahrain launches BlackBerry Bold in Bahrain

After series of launches for BlackBerry Bold in different parts of the world it’s time for middle east to offer sophisticated BlackBerry Bold to its tech savvy customers. Zain Bahrain and RIM has jointly announced today the launch of the BlackBerry Bold in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Featuring a lustrous black exterior the BlackBerry Bold smart phone supports tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks. It has an integrated GPS and Wi-Fi with wireless access to email, phone, calendar, web, multimedia. BlackBerry Bold has a stunning display, a full-QWERTY keyboard. The Bold smartphone is equipped with integrated GPS and Wi-Fi, as well as a rich set of multimedia capabilities.

Telefonica to launch BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip phone this fall

Here is good news for flip phone lovers in Spain. Research in Motion and Telefonica has announced the upcoming availability of the respective smartphone in Spain. BlackBerry Flip 8220 is the first smart phone built by Research in Motion in a clamshell form.

BlackBerry Flip 8220 has a 2 megapixel camera without auto focus but it packs a LED flash. Like many other flip phones, the 8220 smartphone has an external LCD for offering preview of incoming emails, text messages and phone calls without opening the handset. What makes different this phone from other flip devices is the QWERTY keyboard that makes typing messages and dialing numbers fast and easy.

BlackBerry Flip 8220 offers a GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, Wi-Fi, a Bluetooth 2.0. The 8220 offers full support for mp3 ring tones, smart dialing and conference calling. 8220 has an advanced media player which supports most of the popular formats.

RIM has not disclosed the availability of this device yet and also there are no details on the price of BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 so Spanish users have to wait a bit longer.
