HTC has introduced its new model HTC S740 in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. The launch seems to have been strategically aligned to release handset in three different markets. For Europe HTC S740 is available from September 2008.

HTC S740 is a dual personality phone which offers a traditional 12-key phone design and HTC’s signature sliding QWERTY keyboard for optimal messaging. HTC S740 features fast mobile broadband with a maximum download speed of 7.2 Mbps which is up to 18 times faster than 3G. This slim smartphone features a 2.4 inches QVGA display, a built-in GPS function, FM radio and 3.2 megapixel camera which best fits stills and video shooting purposes.

HTC S740 will be available in these countries from end October 2008. In Singapore at a suggested price of SGD $848 (inclusive of 7% GST) while in Malaysia it will be available at the tag price of RM 1,999.00. For Thailand it will be available in 18,900 Baht.

Pantech C610 sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, 2″ 262k color screen, microSD slot and USB port, GSM/EDGE 850/1900MHz and UMTS/HSDPA data support. The C610 measures 93.2 x 50.0 x 18.3 mm and weighs 91 g.

Michael Oryl from MobileBurn had the chance to spend a good time with Pantech’s new C610 fashion clamshell and got it to his hands for couple days. The C610 is a multimedia flip phone supporting AT&T’s 3G network as well as a-GPS function. The phone is able to shot a quality pictures with its 1.3 megapixel camera which you may browse on a 2 inches display with 262k colors.

The C610 also features microSD card slot, USB connection and a music player for your favorite songs. The handset offers Bluetooth with A2DP profile. It works with GSM/EDGE 850/1900MHz and UMTS/HSDPA data. The Pantech C610 is already available at AT&T stores in a silver/red design.
