Samsung i770 smartphone spotted at FCC site

With Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional inside and full QWERTY keyboard outside, Samsung’s upcoming smartphone the i770 has been spotted at FCC site. The handset should support dual-band CDMA (800/1900MHz) data as well as dual-band GSM (850/1900MHz).

It will also carry Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP profile, microSD slot and a touch screen with unknown size and resolution yet as well as a camera on the back side. According to the documents, the candybar will be available through Verizon. The questions are: when and how much.

Meet Japanese Samsung Omnia 930SC with mobile TV receiver and WVGA screen

Samsung will launch its newest version of Samsung Omnia in Japan soon. This Japanese version has 0.1 inch longer screen, 3.3 as compared to the original 3.2 inches which will display WVGA resolution – 480×800 pixels instead of 240×400. So now it is named as SoftBank 930SC Omnia.

Samsung Omnia comes packed with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and fully capable MS Office featuring PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Samsung 930SC features Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and 8GB/16GB Flash + external memory slot of up to 16GB space.

The Omnia is equipped with a 5 megapixel CMOS camera with auto-focus and face & smile detection and auto-panorama shot capabilities. Its dimensions are 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 mm and comes with a 1440 mAh battery.

SoftBank will offer the Samsung Omnia in three different colors – black, red and white. We still have to wait for its price tag.
