Announced just 3 days ago for metroPCS carrier, the new Samsung SCH-r450 ‘Messager’ is going to be available for Cricket users. The SCH-r450 featuring a horizontal QWERTY keyboard is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3 player, microSD slot and a 2.1” 262K TFT screen.
“The Samsung Messager’s horizontal QWERTY keyboard is extremely finger-friendly,” said Bill Ogle, chief marketing officer of Samsung Telecommunications America. “Samsung Messager also comes pre-loaded with engaging games like Rabble Social Networking, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader and Street Fighter II Champion Edition for fun on the run.”
Samsung Messager is available now for $199.99 with included services: text and picture messaging, Cricket Games & Apps and Mobile Web.

Nokia today unveiled new compact clamshell phone, the Nokia 3610 Fold. The handset featuring a spacious keypad and a smooth back fold design comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera with 6x digital zoom, 2 inches 262K colors internal display, up to 4GB microSD card support. The 3610 Fold works in quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) network. Nokia will launch this device in Q3 of 2008 for an estimated price of EUR 125 without contracts.

The U708 from Samsung’s Ultra Edition II range is equipped with a 2.2″ widescreen QVGA TFT LCD display, 3.2-megapixel VGA camera with AF, Bluetooth and USB 2.0, microSD card slot and 20MB of internal memory. The handset measures 102.5 x 50 x 12.1 mm and weighs 86 g, and works with 900/1800/1900 MHz + 2.1GHz and HSDPA 3.6 Mbps. No words about pricing were published.

Samsung today unveiled the launch of the Samsung i8510 (globally known as INNOV8), a first 8 megapixel phone in the UK market which will be available in early September 2008. Officially announced globally 3 weeks ago, the i8510 brings photography and multimedia, and a surround-sound cinematic video experience. The handset includes a crystal clear 2.8″ 16M colour LCD display, internal 8GB memory and external memory slot supporting up to 16GB, DivX, WMV, Real Player and MPEG4 files support. The device is running Symbian OS V9.3 S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 and comes with 1200 mAh which provides up to 300/510 min (3G/2.5G) of talk time and up to 330 / 310 hrs (3G/2.5G) of standby time. Pricing has not been announced.
