Be more adventure with new Motorola V750

Motorola today unveiled its new push to talk phone, the Motorola V750 Adventure for Verizon Wireless customers. Supporting high-speeds of the Verizon Wireless Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A (Rev. A), the V750 is equipped with a large 2.2″ high-resolution internal display and 1.6″ external display. VZ Navigator(SM) and Field Force Manager are applications, which bring audible maps, turn-by-turn directions, location information to more than 14 million points, and businesses with the ability to locate, monitor and communicate with your mobile field workers.

Multimedia come with a 2.0 megapixel camera, 2.5 mm headset jack, text, picture and video messaging capabilities, and Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology. The new Motorola V750 Adventure is available now for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. Customers can add Unlimited Push to Talk for $10 per month, per line to any Nationwide voice plan.

Sprint announces new software upgrade for HTC Mogul and HTC Touch

Sprint today announced that its smartphones, HTC Mogul and HTC Touch get new features via a software upgrade. The Mogul software upgrade now includes support Windows Mobile 6.1 and Touch upgrade supports EV-DO Rev. A data for higher speeds. The new Mogul software upgrade featuring Windows Mobile 6.1 includes easier phone navigation and management, and stronger security safeguards. The upgrade also includes Windows desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Live Search, Sprint TV and is available for downloading at www.america.htc.com/mogulupdate.

The Touch upgrade software enables EV-DO Rev. A data speeds, which increase speeds from 400-700 kbps to 600 kbps-1.4 mbps and average upload speeds increase from 50-70 kbps to 350-500 kbps. Another features of this upgrade are also Windows Mobile 6.1, Enhanced GPS Capabilities, Opera Browser and Onscreen 40-key QWERTY Keyboard. VIDEO: MWg ATOM V and MWg Zinc II Smartphones Review

The MWg ATOM V is running on Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS with CPU Intel XScale PXA 270 520MHz. 2.8” TFT QVGA touchscreen display, 2 megapixel camera, FM Radio with RDS, GPS, 256MB Flash ROM and 64MB RAM are included in this smartphone which works with UMTS (2100 MHz), Quad-Band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and HSDPA 7.2Mbps. For connection the ATOM V provides Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11b/g WLAN.

The MWg Zinc II is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and its basic features are 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera with auto focus, built-in GPS, microSD card slot and miniUSB port. LG’s touchscreen phones to dominate the handset market

LG Electronics announced that it sales of its high-end touchscreen phones reached 7 million units at the end of the second quarter of this year, what is just five quarters after LG launched the world’s first full touchscreen handset, the Prada Phone by LG. LG top seller touchscreen phone is the LG Viewty, which reached more than 2 million sold units and is popular thanks to its 5.0-megapixel sharp camera and easy touchscreen interface. Venus and Voyager are also very familiar and favorite touchscreen phones and sold 1.6 and 1.3 million units respectively.

USD 530 was the average selling price of the 7 million touchscreen phones that LG sold.

“We were a true pioneer in touchscreen phones, applying for a total of 49 patents while developing the Prada Phone by LG,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President & CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “From the beginning we have worked to create phones that are extremely easy to use despite their myriad features. According to a recent study, the global touchscreen handset market will reach 125 million units by 2010 and this is LG’s key to the company’s future success.
