Samsung SGH-M150 – attractive candybar phone

The SGH-M150, a candybar phone by Samsung is a new addition of its attractive series. The SGH-M150 features luxuriously metal-resembling design and brushed hairline pattern which you can find on many of Samsung’s famous full-metal phones. Light Gray, Charcoal Gray, Pure White, Lavender Pink and Ice Blue will be the colors which you can choose from. The phone is able to work in GSM dual-band (900/1800MHz) network and also provides GPRS data. The screen displaying 65k is 1.77″ TFT type with 128×160 pixel resolution.

On the back of the phone you can find a VGA camera supporting MPEG4 Video Recording technology, inside 20MB of memory, MP3 player, FM radio and USB 2.0 support. The M150’s dimensions are 106.5 x 45 x 12.7mm. The SGH-M150 will first become available in Germany around mid-August, and in various regions, including Europe, Southwest Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and Asia will be available later. Pricing has not been announced yet.

Ericsson to expand HSPA network together with SoftBank

Ericsson announced that it has signed an agreement with a leading Japanese operator, Softbank Mobile, to expand and upgrade its HSPA network in Japan to increase capacity and enable even faster mobile broadband.

Fredrik Alatalo, President, Ericsson Japan says: “We are extremely happy to expand our business with Softbank and to support them in providing high speed mobile broadband in the Japanese market.”

HSPA is the world’s most widely deployed mobile broadband technology and Ericsson will expand it on new and existing base stations in the high traffic areas of Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
