Panasonic 921P and Sharp 824SH to available in SoftBank

SoftBank Mobile today announced the availability of the Panasonic 921P VIERA and Sharp 824SH Active Line, which go on sale on Saturday, August 2. The first model, 921P featuring VIERA video technology by Panasonic, provides a high-quality images on the 3.1″ VGA TFT LCD display with 480 × 854 pixels as well as the external 0.9″ display with 128 × 36 pixels. On the back of the handset you can find 5.1 megapixel CMOS camera, and 0.33 megapixel CMOS one on the sub side. The 921P supports up to 8 GB microSDHC card and works with W-CDMA system, GSM system (900/1800/1900 MHz). The handset is available in 6 colors: Gold, Silver, Black, Purple, Mint green, and Pink.

The second model, Sharp 824SH Active Line is an elegant 1-Seg phone, slim 15.3mm and weighing approximately 127g. The 824SH features a 2.8″ QVGA ASV LCD (240 × 400 pixel) internal display and 0.5″ (60 × 32 pixel) Organic EL external display. This phone is also equipped with 3.2 megapixel CMOS camera supporting AF, and up to 2 GB microSD and up to 4 GB microSDHC card support. It works in W-CDMA system, GSM system (900/1800/1900 MHz), and provides 250 minutes of talk time / 340 hours of standby time in W-CDMA, and 230 minutes of talk time / 310 hours of standby time in GSM network. The Sharp 824SH will be sold also in 6 color variants: Black and orange, Black and pink, White and silver, Pink and silver, Silver and green metal, and Silver and blue metal.

Sony Ericsson W62S for Japan gets a pink design

Sony Ericsson today introduced new color choice of its W62S CDMA 1X WIN phone, which was launched in Japan in march. Thin 16.9mm, the W62S comes with 2.7″ TFT-LCD with 240 x 432 pixels, 2 megapixel CMOS camera, and 2GB microSD card support. In 48 × 101 × 16.9 mm the phone weighs approximately 119 g and provides 240 minutes of talk time and approximately 350 hours of standby time. The handset is available for KDDI Japan customers.

New Sidekick 2008 by Sharp to hit T-Mobile stores today

T-Mobile today officially unveiled its new addition to the Sidekick range, the model 2008. The Sidekick 2008 equipped with a 2.6″ WQVGA TFT swivel screen with 400×240 pixel resolution features full QWERTY keyboard for easy typing messages without scrolling for the letter, and a 2 megapixel camera for high-quality pictures. The 1030 mAh Lithium Ion battery enables up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 4 days of standby time.

The new Sidekick also includes 512MB microSD card, Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology with A2DP support, Picture messaging and Games. The handset is available now exclusively for T-Mobile customers and price is set at $149.99 with a 2-year commitment. Users are also able to customize their own shells in various colors schemes for $9.99 each or $14.99 for a pair.

Samsung Omnia expected stats after a month: 20.000 sold units

The SGH-i900 Omnia is one of the newest smartphone addition manufactured by Samsung, which has started its shipping in June in Singapore. The company is expecting, that the Omnia phone will reach 20.000 sold units in the end of month. Let’s remember some of its basic features: 3.2″ WQVGA LCD, 5 megapixel CMOS camera, Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, GPS, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and EDGE/GPRS quad-band 850/900/1800/1900. The Samsung Omnia is already available in Italy and goes ahead with its sales in major European markets in this and the following month.
